Im very new to overclocking and seems to be alot of experienced people here so ill just ask for some help...Let me give you some specs first.

Asus P5B Deluxe
Intel E6400 Conroe
OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel 1.9v-2.1v
Thermaltake Big Typhoon HSF- Arctic silver thermal grease
Ati x1950gt 256 mb gddr3
Seagate 250gb Sata HDD

Heres my problem (dont know how to overclock...hahaha) I first set my memory to the lowest speed in the bios as i was told it would go up as i raised my FSB....the only way i can achieve a 400 fsb (8x400) 3.2ghz and ddr 800 is if i set my ram voltage to 2.4volts and everything else set at auto......way to high for this ram i think...it runs great...no bsod or crashes....just want to know how i can make this speed at a lower ram voltage...say within the rated ram specs of 1.9 - 2.1v ?

I dont know what others settings do...can anyone give me a starting point to begin with as far as settings go?

OK here is an update...i went into bios and changed to write to precharge from 11 to 12 ...now i can boot up at 400fsb and the memory voltage is set to 1.9volts...and no double starts. Before changing that setting i was unable to get higher than 350 fsb without upping the ram voltage to over 2.0 volts..now i can get any fsb up to 400fsb no problems...i want to go even higher than that but Right now my board is set at:

Write to precharge 12
400 FSB
x8 multiplier 3200.0mhz
Ram timing from cpu-z read 1:1 5-6-6-15 ( are these good?)

According to the hardeware monitor in my bios the cpu temp is between 58 - 60 celsius and my v-core is now at 1.552 volts....is this safe to run at?
Or can i lower my v-core voltage manually and still keep these fsb speeds? as most everything else is set to auto

also what software can i test stability and speeds and memory with and where can i get them...perhaps an overclockers software bundle to test with..lol
