Anyone using Dangerdens 8800 full block?

I got one on the way and im working on prepping everything. After finally wrestling off that monster heatsink (what a pita!)

Was just curious if it installs WITH or WITHOUT the metal surround/shim that is around the actual GPU?

Looked at a downsized view of the instructions on DD's site but wasnt able to tell.

great thanks a bunch! didnt even think of it being used to keep the board from warping. Probably serves more of a purpose doing that than it does protecting the GPU. As far as i can tell the gpu sits considerably higher than the shim.

Yeah leave the shim on as the block clears it as mcoffey pointed out.
