what is the core temperature?

the temp 1 is my cpu and the temp 2 is my mobo

i have a AMD athlon 64 3400+ venice 754 pin cpu

Does the core reading rise when you load of the CPU? What about CPU and graphics card load?

yeah it rises when the cpu is loaded

It is probably picking up the thermal diode in the CPU as temp 1, and the motherboard cpu socket thermal diode as core.
