I mounted the rad so that fittings are at the bottom. Apparently this causes lot of leaks and the heat does not get dissipated.

I thought it does not matter how the rads get mounted.
I had to mount it upright again.

Leaks? Heat does not get dissipated? This isn't Alice In Wonderland, it makes no difference which way the rad is oriented. If it leaks, it leaks and should be sent back unless it is leaking at the fittings, in which case you need to address sealing the barbs.

lol nicely put. with the barbs at the bottom it can be hard to remove the air from the top of the rad and you can get a pocket of air in there. Shouldnt affect performance though?

Isn't it weird though, when I mounted it upright there was no leak. CPU idles at 30c whereas when it was upside down it was at 50c

thus why thermochill places a small bleed screw at the opposite plenum of the radiator :toast:

did you bleed the system BEFORE mounting the rad upside down? Air WILL form a pocket at the highest point, which will be your RAD with the mounting position.

i always have mounted the 120.30pa this way in top of my PC71. I rotate the case around while running to get all the air to flwo round and up the t-line to fillport. no probs ever and certainly no leaks or loss of performance.

Sure did, that's what the small screw is for opposite plenum of the radiator.

I mounted my PA 120.3 "upside down" and got stellar performance from it. Boot up idle on this rig (old dchool s939 with a FX60 clocked to 3.16 ghz with 1.55 vcore) was 23c and loaded (Orthos 12 hours) was 31c.

Sheesh do I ever miss my U2-UFO. . .totally borked by FedEX. . .may she RIP......
