Laptop dead, help appreciated toshiba S173

Okay, a few weeks back, my laptop came into close proximity of a glass of wine :eek: and now it doesnt work :(

I cleaned and dried it out, but all i get when i put the battery in is the orange power light flashes in a 3 flashes 2 flashes stop sequence, repetitevly.

Ive tried the usual unplugging etc. Tried new ram, new hard disk, neither of which helped.

Am i just going to have to foot the bill and take it to the menders or is this something easily fixable? The web is rather sparse on information about fixing laptops, guess its to keep the repair men in their jobs...

Chances are good even though you dried it out well, the wine left behind a sticky messy residue, you'll probably have to pull it apart and use something like isopropyl alchohol to clean it up....
