i just recieved the new core 2 duo E4300 chip!!

along with the mobo: ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP

as for air cooling: gonna use stock HS and fan combo for now, and then upgrade to ZALMAN CNPS9500 if i need it.

im excited and was wondering if there are some basic steps to bring this to a nice overclock.

should i OC right away on this new chip or should I use it for awhile before tryin to OC and change the v-core?

should i run prime95 and superPI or OCCT for awhile before i OC it to break it in? Im putting artic silver 5 on it as we speak. do i need to let that set before i really let loose and overclock it.

im not trying to reach world record speeds with this chip i just want it to be properly broken in and be around 2.7 ghz (300x9)

jsut curious what steps u guys have used with this chip to make it the best possible overclock.

thanks,

ty
