View Full Version : Overclocking, now getting file corruption (but memory passes?)

I've been sitting at 3.33Ghz. with my QX6700 on my 975XBX. Temps are good, orthos can crank for a few days and my memory isn't overclocked. Memory testing programs pass successfully without giving errors and I have no other problems.

Unfortunately, one of my hard drives just received some serious corruption that made the partition unreadable, and booting up I just discovered some orphaned NTFS files and other corruption issues.

What might cause this? Could it still be RAM related?

did you bump the drive?
is the pci bus locked?

Oh, no, this is pure software corruption not caused by physical issues.

I haven't adjusted PCI bus timings whatsoever.
