my setup is
AMD XP1700+
512mb ram (waiting for DDR to come down a bit)
32mb agp rage pro 2000
Mirai 40x.12x.40x. burn proof with 4meg buffer
toshiba dvd
20 gig HDD
Jetway 867AS Motherboard
ethernet card
512k cable modem
SB 5.1 live sound card

So how can i speed up this system appart from the ram ???
any help would be greatful thanx

I dont know that particular mainboard, but it doesnt sound like it would have a lot of overclocking options :(

Can you increase the FSB (bus speed) in the bios ?

i`m not to sure on how to do it.... i know how to get into my bios but not how to increase the FSB... ok

Get a new Motherboard, sorry it be blunt but the basis of ALL SPEED, reliability and overclocking options are in the mainboard.

A 300Mhz overclock and a 4K increase in 3DMark all form changing my Jetway 663AS PRO for a Epox 8KHA+.

I would try to get a new mainboard, (return the old one if you can). A superb mainboard can cost as little as $80 (Epox).
