I need any and all suggestions on cases that can hold a pa120.3 inside the case. I don't mind drilling holes for screws but I do not want to start modding like a maniac.

Right now the only selection I can really find that can hold it is the mountainmods selection but that is too huge for my taste. I would like a traditional case.. not a cube.

Also keep in mind I am fitting 2x 8800GTX watercooling edition so it has to be able to fit that long long card (aka be deep enough) and my pump is a japanese iwaki which is also pretty big.

As you can see, this narrows the selection quite a bit and I need all the help I can get to figure out a good case for this setup. Preferably one I won't be able to fit myself inside though ;)

I'd recommend the Silverstone TJ07. Pair it up with a 5.25" to 3.5" drive bay converter, and take all of the hard drive cages out of the bottom, then you can mount your radiator where the hard drives and one of the PSUs would go. Drill a couple holes and voila. If you use a couple drive bay convertors, you can still have as many as 8 drives in there along with one optical.

How much money you got to spend?

I just installed my system into a Silverstone TJ07 and I love it.

It's the perfect wc case. Lots of room and easy to work on and in. if you got the cash I highly recommend it.

definitely the best case for w.c. (of course if you don't count boxes like UFOs), and it is expensive. but it's beautiful, very large so you have room for everything you need (not like this little P180) and has that lower chamber for your rad, also the mobo can be flipped, just take it if you have the money ;)
EDIT: oh and I forgot to say it's all aluminium and has no rivets! so everything is screwed so you can tear it apart :D

Freaking awesome case! And nope money is not an issue.. I'm pretty sure now that this is what I'm gonna get. I'm just going to look for some pictures of one with the 8800 gtx and see how it fits. Since it is mentioned above that the motherboard can be flipped.. I doubt the 8800gtx wouldnt not be able to fit somehow.

On NCIX.com, I am seeing 2 kinds of silverstone tj07's. The one with the window is 30$ cheaper.. Here are the 2 links:

With window - $359.99 (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=20019&vpn=SST-TJ07-BW&manufacture=Silverstone%20Technology)

Without window - $389.85 (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=19549&vpn=CS-SST-TJ07-B&manufacture=Silverstone%20Technology)

Isn't this weird?

Isn't this weird? maybe no one wants to buy the window edition cause when you flip the board you have no use of the window ;)
great choice, you won't be sorry =)

Stacker T01 and 810.

You can mount rad on the bottom of both cases, on the top external, or internal verticaly in the front.

Mine is mount with zip ties around the screws for the fans and it holds it stead. However I cut a 2" deep, 4" wide notch in the base of my Stacker so my RAD sits a lower and I can drain the rad by removing the bleed screw and NOT have to pick the case up.
You might be able to find the Stacker T01 @ SVC.com for about 90$ or less with a rebate, they were having a mad sale on these.
This of course if you are wanting to save money.

If you check out the Stacker Slacker (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=102550) thread you can see quite a few cases with various RADs and placements as well as mounting options.

I have seen a PA120.3 mounted in a Cube (Philly_Boys) and these cases have MAD space so that is something to consider as well, but you are looking @ 300$ for a case.

The Stacker 810 usually goes for about 130-170$ w/ S&H

Ahhh that's true for the window.. I bet it's much less trouble for them to make a window rather than make everything flippable. And to me.. window is a must.. so I guess I'm saving 30$ ;)

Got my PA120.3 in my V2000B at the top, right at the front so the GFX have some room. Just fits nicely

Actually the lian li G70 works great for the PA120.3 as well I have mine in the top of the case (psu at the bottom).

Whoa, those prices are a little steep. Try here for the TJ07. (http://www.sundialmicro.com/search_product.php?keywords=TJ07&manufacture=&x=0&y=0) Much more reasonable price. It's where I got mine and they deliver fast.

Do you need to mod a bracket or something to hold the pa120.3 at the bottom of the tj07 case?

Why would you go for the TJ07 when the Lian Li g70 is more than a $100 bucks cheaper...

Go for the UFO or the G70

yes for the tj07 you would need a mounting bracket, some one fill me in,

as for the mobo flip, isnt there some modding that is needed to do that? again would some one fill me in

Personally I would take a Mountain Mods U2-UFO over any case any day.

I like UFOs, especially Horizon series, but they cost and need space like you bought 2 cases.

space is relative, they are short and fit well under desks and look good on a desk, unlike a huge tower that scrapes your sealing :)

I mounted my rad with a couple galvanized brackets from Home Depot. Drilled a couple holes in the case and one hole each in the brackets to match up with the rad and good to go.

The motherboard flip is pretty simple too. The rails that hold the mobo in place are actually one of the only parts on the case to have rivets. The other side of the case actually has holes already, like they intended to be able to flip the mobo. It's very easy to do. Just drill out the rivets and bolt the rails on the other side. The only problem when you do that is the upper grill where you would normally mount a couple 120mm fans. It has a cage that holds the fans in place. I had to cut that out to make room for the top of the mobo. You can still mount a couple fans up there but by alternative methods and it's very tight. For a 25mm thick fan you have about 27mm to work with.

I considered a few cases when I built The Wraith. . .the TJ07. . .the Lian Li V2000, the CM 810 Stacker but I finally got a U2-UFO. It has room for all my stuff plus two seperate water loops wholly contained within the case! I couldn't do that with any of the other cases without it looking way cramped.

Click on The Wraith link in my sig for a few pics if you wanna check it out.

just working with my new G70, works perfect with rad in top, only have to wait for my hole-saw:slapass: .

if you don't use a that long PSU you can mount your pump on bottom directly behind it (i have an enermax galaxy which is 70mm longer than standart-psus+modular cables which take up another 30mm and still have 150mm space so with "normal" PSUs there are about 25CM between the PSU und the drive cage. you can mount the res beside the 3.5" drive bays and the rad in top.

this case is the best tower for WC (only the PC-70 was better, but thes dicontinued it and i didn't find one here in europe:rolleyes: )

That's what I did w/ mine but I'm using the PC Power&cooling 1kw which is also long. I ripped out the hard-drive crap at the front-bottom and am just using two raptors installed in the externally excessible drive bays. I'm using the aquadock to water cool those as well so it works out great plenty of room, well, wish for maybe a bit more for a reservoir opposed to a t-line but still works great with clean setup.
