I am pretty new to ocling and gaming and wondering why everyone tries to get there ram 1:1 RATIO. Everytime i do my 3d mark06 and aqua mark 03 scores drop big time! my system;
7900gt evga(z-tweaked 91.47 drivers)
asus p5wd2(bios 0501)
pentium d 805 (watercooled) ocled to 4.2 ghz
ocz platinum pc 6400
best 3d mark 06 score= 5818
best aqua mark 03 score=115214
To get my ram @ 1:1 i have to low the down so much my scores drop big time!
I have all timings set to 4 (scores best at that setting)
My ram is always 1:2 ratio
fsb=213

Any help or ideas.

Often you get more stable oc's with 1:1 ratio. If you want higher bandwidth, you can just lower the multi @ cpu.

And now with G.skill hz @ p5b deluxe, you actually get higher scores with 1:1 :fact:
