I love working here :D Got two Copeland units, a condensing unit from a refrigerator and a large drop-in cooling unit for a freezer.

Evap fans off, not bad for a unit that's only supposed to maintain maybe 0 degrees F - pumps out about 300 cfm of 25 degree F air with evap fans on :slobber:

The condensing unit - in slightly better condition vs the large unit

Got a sight glass :)

The whole unit when running is pretty noisy, but most of it is from the fans, the compressor itself is actually much quieter than a standard 5k btu rotary.
The large compressor may make it's way to the FS section ;)

I can get high res pics upon request if you like

That plug is for a 115v 20A wall socket instead of the normal 15A socket. So whatever socket you run it on you might want to pay close attention to it because homes are wired for 15 amp breakers and 15 amp wire thats why the plug is shaped differently to prevent overloading the wire and possibily causing a fire.:nono:

yep i know, i just don't have any in my house, the cord is heavily rated higher than needed since it would be used in a commercial installation and while i would not run this in an actual installation on a 15A system for testing it was fine, draws less power than the one heater i have that uses a 15A plug

Very true... learned all that in one of my electrical engineering classes last semester. My house has some 20A plugs like that... the left, upright hole of the socket looks like a sideways T.

Sweet find. Won't take much to make a nice SS from that.

Given that it's on the order of 1.5HP, it's oversized for a quad Britney and undersized for an 8 way Britney.
Of course, the entire unit with a few very simple mods should make a nice whole system cooler.

Yea the copeland compressor says 0075 on it that would be 3/4hp since 0050 is 1/2hp.
