The barbs are too close together. I couldn't install the clamps to secure the tubing to the barbs. Any tips? Otherwise I will return it to where I bought it.

yep fip-ties are great. i have been using them for 3 months now. usually i put two on each barb to make sure that there are not going to leak. but honestly i think only one zip-tie whould do just fine, but it's better to be safe than sorry imo.

I strangle the tube with worm-drives ^.^

I'm gonna have to return it. It shouldn't be this difficult to mount the worm drive clamps.

Er....worm drive clamps are thin? Just turn thing until it fits, it'll just be awkward to tighten...no?

Just use thick zipties. I have some wide zipties that cover most if not all of the barb. On most of the barbs in my loop I have a medium zip tie followed by a worm drive clamp.

lol find some zip ties, they're really easy to get on. Spend an extra 20 seconds tightening and you'll be safe.

Cable ties tightened with a pair of long nose plyers is all you need. Hose clamps are :banana::banana::banana:, they can pinch the hose and sometimes cut into the hose, ultimately ruining it.

Used both and would never bother with hose clamps again, too messy and cumbersome for my liking and they do a worse job than cable ties do imho.

zip ties man.... relax and just use the zip ties. 75% of the fittings are so tight they don't even need clamps or zip ties.

If I have to perform kung-fu on it, its too much effort. BTW, how you know I know kung-fu?

I agree.

same, im using 7/16 and clamps.

but i was testing how tight of a fit the 7/16 on a 1/2 inch barb was. i got my moms hair dryer and i fitted it on easily enough. i then proceeded to try and take it off. basicly the barb was too hot to touch, and the tubing STILL didn't budge. after that i just put the hose clamp on it, and now im going to have to install the fill port with the tubing attached lol.

Zip ties aren't any thinner than any other hose clamps I've seen. I don't see how this would help him.
