Scavenger Hunt is Go

Alright, first let me apologize for how long this has taken to get underway...I have been SO busy over the last few months...

Anyways, this is the official Scavenger hunt thread...here's how it's going to work.

Rules:
•For 25 days in February (1-25), I will be posting a new item/screenshot you need to find, in this thread (on this post).
•You MUST take a picture with your name in it (if it's onscreen, you need a notepad) and date, ala FS/FT section
•All entries should be sent each day to xshunt@gmail.com Subject will be: "XSusername - Date"

So mine would be "Shpoon - Feb.1"

And so on, please have the picture in there, or a link to somewhere (like imageshack)

•2 points for getting the entry to me that day, 1 for getting it later(You get until 12PM EST for the "one day thing", I'm going by when it arrives at gmail)
•Please note, for the first 5 things, it's 1 point per entry, just to gain notice
•At the end of the contest, most points wins...

Prize:
•$50 Paypal'd to your account

Others:
•Donations always welcome, will be added onto the $50. If you donate $5 you can get an item crossed off (ie 2 free points).

It's a non-stress contest, with a tiny prize to hopefully help fund a small purchase ;)

The things you will need to get can range from computer parts, to benchmark scores, to other little things...I'll update this with the total number of active users, and the current pot.

If you wish to be a part of this, please post below, I'll stick your name below and keep a tally of the points...there is no obligation, so everyone please sign up (you can sign up throughout as well)! The pot will hopefully grow, and we'll see how it goes. If you want to donate, shoot me a PM.

Date - Item
Feb. 1 - Something that voids your warranty (part of a computer system). (No entries will be exposed ;))
Feb. 2 - A CPU, non 939, AM2, or 775. Must be obvious what it is.
Feb. 3 - A 30% minimum overclock
Feb. 4 - A computer product that was not made in Asia. (Take a picture, and if needed, take a picture of the box, or a link that proves it).
Feb. 5 - A DIY mod on your computer, or similar electronics
Feb. 6 - A product from one of XSs support forums, excluding Ati.
Feb. 7 - Something you bought for your computer that you regret in retrospect (I expect a heart-rendering background story, or you're not getting the points).
Feb. 8 - A computer product that contains the letter "H" in the brandname
Feb. 9 - A mod that you think no one else has (if yours is repeated, no ponts).
Feb. 10 - A CPU temperature of below 22C, with a picture of Prime95 in the background (ie, run it for a bit to make sure you're not getting a picture of a cold boot temp), then try to drop the temp.
Feb. 11 - A mirror finish lap.
Feb. 12 - A computer game (Box, or jewel case or manual needed) that was made before 1998 (inclusive).
Feb. 13 - A clean computer IE NO VISIBLE DUST BUNNIES
Feb. 14 - Simply draw a nice valentines pic in mspaint :)
Feb. 15 - Some proof that you weren't alone at your house last night ;)
Feb. 16 - An "odd" fan (ie, not 40, 80, 92, or 120mm)
Feb. 17 - Cable management....(A Clean, Good one...)
Feb. 18 - A picture of a computer with 6+ stock items replaced.
Feb. 19 - A UPS (Uninterpretable power supply)
Feb. 20 - A coin not from your country (Canada = US coin, US = Canadian Coin. UKers, anything you lucky sobs ;))
Feb. 21 - Any forum that you have over 1000 posts at.
Feb. 22 - Old school memory (no DDR, DDR2)

Feb. 26 - Icicles <-- Thrilla. (Now, these don't have to be naturally occurring, so if you want to stop this cheating Canadian from getting up points, make your own :p)
Feb. 27 - A power supply with less than 5A on the +12V rail <-- SparkyJJO
Feb. 28 - A 2 button mouse, without a wheel <--- SparkyJJO

You mail pictures of what I posted (see my first post, at the bottom), from your own house, not a website, no photoship.

You can submit them anytime for 1 point, 2 if it's on the day of.

I'm wondering about this, too.... well, actually, I'm wondering how many points I can afford to lose because 1) I don't have 1k posts anywhere (I post rather conservatively and always have :rolleyes: ) and 2) I'm gonna be outta town on the 23rd-25th (which will make those days particularly interesting, if I need every point). ...and, since I'm pretty sure that I've nailed everything thus far (aside from losing a point on that lapped surface shot).
