I know Azureus on the pc hogs alot of memory. Is it the same case for the mac.
Thanks

Firefox
VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)
Realplayer (not as evil as you might think)
Azureus
MSN Messenger
Activity Monitor
iTunes
smcFanControl (http://81.169.182.62/~eidac/software/page5/page5.html)
Alarm Clock (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20597)
Flip4Mac (http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv.htm)
Onyx (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11582)
Stuffit Expander (http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/)
MS Word.

Think that's about it...
Ed.

I know Azureus on the pc hogs alot of memory. Is it the same case for the mac.

As of today the new version claims Azureus has "Less memory footprint.
Most notably, torrent piece information is now removed from memory when not used."
Right now its using 99mb.

iTunes (privately shared library on my network from my desktop....great built in functionality)
VLC
Mail
iCal
Adium
Camino (browsing)
Shiira (alternate browser for some weird pages)
Photoshop CS3b
xTorrent (though they want me to pay now I think....must be out of beta, so I'll probably switch to Azureus)
Safari (for Rhapsody online....crashes a lot regardless of browser, so I isolate it)
Excel
Preview
Word
Dashboard
Remote Desktop (only every so often, usually access to files is all I need and I have that with shared folders)

Quicksilver looks sweet
