I have a kit of
Corsair Twin XMS 2048-3500LL PRO v1.1
and
Corsair Twin XMS 2048-3500LL PRO v1.3

Question is, do they use different types of chips?

Whats the differences between the various versions
of the same RAM/memory kits/sticks?

In this case, the ICs used were the same between Rev 1.1 and 1.3 so, my guess is that we had a PCB change. You can ask RAM GUY if you need more specific info.
