Well not after 1month of having these, they are now dead. They wont post on a single motherboard, and all my other corsair memory works fine. I ran them at their rated 3-4-3-9 @ 2.4V and they are dead, I was playing WoW: The Burning Crusade and I all of a sudden had everything dumped out of memory, and then BSOD, so im like ok maybe just a crash, goto power it up on my bad axe 2 nothing, p5b dlx nothing, DFI r600 nothing.

So what should I do, its within a month of where I purchased them, or should I deal with corsair directly?

Chaos, we are looking at this in the lab. Let me get back with you on the RMA question.

Just to be clear, which set up were you running the C3 Dominators on?

Is 2.4v 24/7 really killing D9 this fast?

Is 2.4v 24/7 really killing D9 this fast? Not from what I am seeing. Our failure rates on our high end parts are VERY low.

Good to hear. D9 seems to be getting very finnicky about volts. :stick:

I have the XMS2 C5 pc8500 (pre-dominator). Not sure which D9 these are but I have them at 1020mhz 4-4-4-10 2.4v. No problems so far and I hope not to see any anytime soon.

Hmm seems BX2 2nd blue dimm might be a problem with ram, it seems its killed another stick at stock settings. The stick wil lboot, but it errors like crazy. Any ideas?

Had a similar issue with my 6400C3DFs, running completely stock EPP settings (2.3V) in a NForce 590 AM2 board. Barely had the RAM for a day. Ran Memtest86+ fine overnight, did some work, put the computer to sleep and it froze waking up. One stick was bad, had to RMA the set :(

Memtest 86+ 1.7 runs the 1 stick all day long no errors, soon as I pop the other stick back in 3rd dimm it errors like no tomorrow. I dont know what it is, and I run these sticks stock voltage and 3-4-3-7 and tighter timings shouldnt be killing it. I boot 4-4-4-12 and try memtest on the one stick still errors like crazy. Its a new BX2 also, so I dont know why its doing that

Out of curiosity, what rev of 6400C3DF did you have? I had Rev 1.1.

Have you tried both sticks in the black slots?

Yeah, the 1 stick will pass memtest, but the other just gets like 2k errors in like a couple minutes. I dont know whats up with it, but I run them stock settings except for the timings, I even loosened timings and it still errored.

Those sticks should do 3-3-3-5-1t-7-42 with 2.25-2.30v @ ddr 800.
My rev1.3's do it easy upto ddr 920 b4 needing bump in voltage.
This was on my desktop P5N32-E sli board.

Thats what i figured, I didnt actually undervolt and mess around with them was more of getting my board stable again because it was a brand new board cuz I broke the pins on the otehr BX2 I had
