I'm not very familiar with the whole overclocking process, and I hear that overclocking via BIOS is a good way to start.

Are there any other newbie friendly overclocking programs? Any beginners guides to BIOS overclocking?

Specs :

450 PSU stocked with antec case.
C2D e6400 with a Gigabyte motherboard
512 7900 GTO
2 gigs RAM
Creative XFI Xtremegamer sound card.

Any help would be great.

the short and simple way to start overclocking is to actually increase your FSB speed, then boot and test to make sure that it is stable. You can test its stability by using applications such as SuperPI and WCG.
