Forceware X 100.30 Vista x86/x64 dated 12/14/2006 for 8800's

Well......at last it's been released......the most sought after driver for Vista. :)

[Version]
Signature = "$Windows NT$"
Provider = %NVIDIA%
ClassGUID = {4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Class = Display
CatalogFile = NV_DISP.CAT
DriverVer = 12/14/2006, 7.15.11.0030

It only supports 8800 GPU's
Not WHQL

But finally Vista support for the 8800.

There is a modded INF supplied for those with non 8800 cards.

First tests report AERO to be blazing fast and Vista faster in 3DMark06.......classic Control Panel is now present again ;)

Vista only driver!

The source games problem is not driver related! It is a problem with the source engine fog rendering and 8800 GPU's. (well documented) Valve released a patch through Steam earlier last week to correct this.......while it did improve it somewhat.......far distance objects were still corrupted.

For some reason? the patch has now been 'pulled' from Steam :(

Has anyone seen a good comparison with these drivers on an 8800 vs the newest XP drivers?

Most people I have seen just post performance of the Vista drivers and not the XP info to compare it with.

I get same performance in FEAR with xp and vista, IQ is pretty good on these, I just cant adjust digital vibrance and cannot change the reg to get the old control panel, doesnt work in vista. Also newest riva 2.0 final doesnt work.
