Ok, so I finally decided to get the BX2 for my E6600. Now, I'm looking for some good memory that will let me overclock. Any recommendations? Are G.Skillz working fine with the BX2?

Ive seen quite a few D9GMH sticks overclocking on the badaxe2. Today is the last day for the promo code on $266 crucial tracer pc2 8000's. click here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=129867)for the info.

D9MGH is always the best choice next to D9GKX.

However, if you are not extreme OCing pretty much any memory that suits your processor will do. (you know even stock speed Pc6400 memory can get a e4300/e6600 up to 3.6 Ghz)

If you get a deal on Promos IC'd memory and don't plan on benchmarkig that would work fine. Deals are relative though and lately Crucial has been giving good deals on their Ballsitix D9mgh.

From what i know of DDR2 D9MGH or D9GKX is the hot set up. Check the link gpseek posted for what sticks have these chips. I doubt you'll get many other recomendations than sticks with those chips.

If you want brands ive had kingston/corsair/ocz/team xtreem and never had any problems with any of them as far as quality goes, never had a single ram module fail or not overclock well. I may just be lucky tho.

I cant say much about my crucials as ive had em a whole 5 hours.

I like the memory in my sig and it does well:

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/memory/display/ddr2-800_7.html

I run these @ DDR2 800 3-3-3-4 on this board and have run them @ DDR2 1100 4-4-4-8 on 965. I've run DDR2 1000 4-4-4-4 on the BX2 so far. That's with a 402 FSB 9x multi 667 frequency and 266 ref freq.

ok, bumping an older thread.

newegg has it on sale for $229. Are those sticks good? Do they perform well with Bad Axe 2? I'm looking at some overclocking, but nothing extreme.

G.skill has some sticks at about $260 that may be the best deal. I think they are code PK or HPK....lol.... someone here will know what I am talking about.

there are at least 4-5 options of G.Skill on Newegg, and I have no idea which one to buy. Can somebody help me out?
