ABIT AB9-PRO & SATA 2 Prob.

I have notice that the sata2 function on HD's doesn't work....my HD's work in ATA100 mode...I have two Seagate 320 placed in SATA1+SATA2 channel(no RAID) on the mobo but they don't operate in SATA II.....With my previous mobo(ASUS-M2N-E) they worked fine...any suggestions?

What about the speed? Can this be a real problem or is just wrong post the ATA100 in bios and in windiows?

had this also on DFI UT NF4Ultra-D, nothing to worry about, its just a "kind" of "emulation" since the ICH8 has a native Sata support and the drive is recognized as a ATAPI7 but the windows reports just as ata100 ;] or sometimes 133

yep from the screen you posted looks like O.K. speeds to me .

well one thing you need to remember they seagate's have a jumper to activate the SATA-2 other wise i think they are set to run slower. i would check the jumpers and rerun the tests.
