for the money the 8500c5d's work very well on my evga 680i.
i am a avid gamer also and these settings are rock solid on my machine-
5/5/5/12 2t@1200mhz 2.3v.
3/3/3/8 1t@800mhz 2.3v.
tight timings at 1t lower mhz is very fast on this board about the same as my looser timings @1200mhz
if u go this route PM me and i will give u my full timings on these chips to see if we can duplicate my results for u.

What CPU do you intend to use and, will you OC it? If you intend to OC, do you want to run 1:1 or use the upclock ratios like 2:3 or 4:5?

Will definitely be a Intel. Not sure which one though. Intel Duo, or quad. As i get more info on this new system i will add.
Thanks,

Well, the amount that you want to try to OC (and thus the CPU choice) will be a factor in memory choice.

I can assure you that your company did an awsome job there, and you should be happy with their level of performance there.

Thanks a lot,

Both would be very good for hitting 3.5ghz with an E6600, especially if you OC at 1:1. 3500/9 = FSB389.

The PC6400C4 would be a better value using the Promos ICs. The PC8500 would cost a little more, would likely OC better, and are made with Micron ICs.
