Newbie - Overclocking in BIOS

I'm not very familiar with the whole overclocking process, and I hear that overclocking via BIOS is a good way to start.

Are there any other newbie friendly overclocking programs? Any beginners guides to BIOS overclocking?

Specs :

450 PSU stocked with antec case.
C2D e6400
512 7900 GTO
2 gigs RAM

Any help would be great.
