Cobbled together a budget 939 rig just before the AM2 platform was released...and I'm only now getting around to tinkering with OC/UCing it lol. :D Got some to learn. Haven't OC/UCed since BartonXP days.

Here's the CPU-Z 1.38 output:

I thought I got from Newegg a Venice E4...but apparently I have some sort of single-core Manchester? Thought the Manchester = dually. Perhaps mine is an X2 with a crippled cache? Not to sure how well it'll OC/UC...

Thanks,
DrCR

it's probably a bug in cpu-z

No Venice E4 or San Diego E6 exist, the confusion started for the sole fact that people uses just the incomplete silicon Revision instead of the full one that helps to identify the actual physical Core. BH-E4 is indeed a Manchester, and yours got an entire Core disabled (Its OPN should be ADA3500DKA4CG), Cache is fully enabled for the working Core. Toledo JH-E6 also may come with an entire Core disabled but the other and its Cache fully functional.

Are there inherent cons to this as opposted to a "true" Venice? What about heat dissipation to a Storm G4? Oh, as I assume there's no way to pencil mod on the additional core or something? :D

Still deciding whether or not I should feel ripped off. :)

Well, not getting too bad an OC.

SemiSolid: 254x11 (2.794GHz) @ 1.5v. 3DMark06 ran OK, though Prime95 errored after ~1hr. Too bad 1.5vcpu is as high as my A8N5X will go. Guess I could always mod it...

Thanks,
