Got myself some stuff in the mail today... Tbred, duron 1.3, and a stick of xms 3000! :) Weee! A force to be reckoned w/ :)

HEHEHEHE, nice stuff you got there, just out of curiosity, what u need the duron for? Backup? These things are hard to unlock!! a simple L1 bridges mod won't work :(

I want to go for 1.8ghz w/ the duron. It's not for backup. I am noticing they are hard. Wtf is going on w/ them. I just tried a diff. pencil now hoping that would fix it. I had no probs w/ my Duron 1ghz which is the same core as the 1.3... Hmmm...
If this pencil doesn't work, I'll look for more info.

Another update... I did a fresh WinXP install.... but I'm getting errors w/ my bios + win xp + tbred I think. They don't want to play nice. What do you guys recommend as the best Epox bios that works for a Tbred?

2325 bios - unstable so far.....
2619 - won't boot....
2612 - (trying now)

Thank god! 2612 works, and works like a charm. I'll be sticking with this one :) Now today I'll see if I can squeeze a few more mhz out of it. I'll be updating again later. :P

Well this is the most stable speed I'm getting. I can run 3d, do sisoft, run whatever @ this speed. Since I'm locked @ 11 the FSB isn't the _GREATEST_ but it's satisfactory. And the comp is flying along.

By the way, what's "dynatron aircooling" and why use aircooling if your avatar is a pic of high-end H²O cooling? :)

If you can get it to run, the 2312 BIOS will perform much better in 3DMark since you're stuck at lower FSB's. Nice OC ya have there on mild air...now come help me in the 4200 cat. :)

I don't understand why you would be locked at 11? have you not read the unlocking instructions posted in this forum?

Thats 11 on the Duron, not Tbred :)

Watercooling is taking a break until I get my freezer to chill the water. Using Iced down water is only a temporary solution (which is pictured in the avatar). Don't worry, it'll be watercooled soon enough.
Dynatron is the brand of heatsink I have. I dunno the model name, and it has a 60mm Delta on it.

Negative. The duron won't unlock at all. I think I need to do something w/ the L10 as the multiplier is 13... like the 2100+ dillema. Anyone have any insight into this?

Soon it'll be running smoother heh... once I clean out an area for the freezer and get the 230V line in, I'll be set. Then you're coming down and we's doin some oc'ing!
