my sister n i join a small room (fy_pk map) in CS

it was a small room with 20 ppl +

my sister got 40-60fps with GF4MX440, INtel P3, Hyundai 256MB SDRAM, Intel i815E chipset with Intel 10/100 pro LAN (onboard)

while I got 3-18fps with Radeon 9700, AMD Athlon XP (aplomino), KT266A, Kingmax 512MB DDR with crap LAN cards (Internet Connection Sharing is on)

why does that happen

and my Internet Connection Sharing is on now but my sister aren't using my internet connection (PC off) but I still get 33-48fps in Day of Defeat (in large open area with 60-100+ ping)..

is my Radeon 9700 that crap???

but I remember getting real high marks for 3DMark 01, 03 (not multiplayer games maybe!?)

keep confusing me

wt should I swap? LAN card? ISP? Memory? Hardisk?
my current config is below... using nVidia MCP LAN Card as internet and 3COM card as LAN to my sis com

I'm not a 3d guy, but hang in there, one will be along. It's 4am on my side of the world , so not many people in here now.
Maybe try uninstall card and driver and then re-install?

Yeah, I would have to say you've either got a conflict in hardware, or the drivers didn't take properly. I would back up everything of any importance and do a complete fresh format and reinstall. Do it in the proper sequence, load the os, mobo drivers, vid drivers, then everything else.

I would agree with Tweaked. I play diablo and vietcong on a geforceII 32 meg card and get 30-60fps stock. Using det 41.25 but the cool thing is that this card stock speeds are 235/333 for a 32meg card, back to subject i would format reinstall and install in sequence as tweaked had mentioned should work
