Greeting!
Well I am new to this forum and a bit older in OCing world. Recently build a new system and from day one trying to OC it. After reading too many posts on number of OCing forums I just succeeded to OC my system to 3.0GHzs. But it is not going beyond this limit. If I do, it wouldn't post at all. Even though I have read from many people that they are successful in OCing the same chip to 3.6Ghz. I am also getting crazy to go there. If anybody can help in getting the exact BIOS settings, I will be grateful.

System: C2D E6600
CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E6600 2.4Ghz
Motherboard: Asus P5B Delux
Memory: Kingston PC2-4300 533Mhz DDR2 512MB x 2
Graphics Card: MSI Nividia 7300GS
Hard Drive: 160GB Hitachi Deskstar 7200RPM with 8MB Buffer

Which memory divider ? If 1:1 maybe it`s to high frequency for memory ?

Yes I am using 1:1 ration. So what's the remedy? :( Can you please write in detail BIOS settings. I am quit new to OC world.

:rotf:  What is this thread doing in AMD section? :D

Seriously:
1)what Vcore are you running at?
2)are you using BOXed cooler? (3.0GHz under BOXed cooler - already nice result, IMO)
3)have you tried raising the Vmem / loosening the timings ?
4)did you fix PCI-E and PCI freq at 100 / 33 MHz in BIOS ?

Here are the answers.

1) Vcore = 1.40

2) Yes, using BOXed cooler

3) vMem=1.95 and I don't know how to loosening the timings. Can you help?

4) PCI-E PCI freq are set to auto

1) and 2) 3.0GHz@1.4V@BOXed cooler = you may be cooling limited
3) just set them manually to 5-5-5-15
4) fix them @ 100/33MHz !

You definetely need a new cooler. What are your load temps like at 3ghz? Your RAM couldn't handle 1:1 at 3 ghz. If you are looking into a new cooler, then go with:

Scythe Infinity
TT Big Typhoon
Tuniq Tower

Also if you really want to push your chip far then you are definitely going to need better RAM.

I think I am not cooling limited right now because my CPU temperature reads between 39-43 in normal and load situations. Should i increase mem voltage too?

Wow! "TapaKah" really excellent piece of advice from you. I have tried it last night (setting up memory timings and PCI settings) and amazingly system was booting up (shows BIOS display) with FSB set to 390 x 9=3.54Ghz. Previously it wasn't able to go beyond 340 x 9 = 3.0Ghz. Even though I have to increase Vcore up to 1.50 for this but main thing is that it’s working.
BUT another main issue is arising. Windows didn't load if I set FSB to 370+. On 370 FSB windows loads. Then I ran one instance of Prime95 to check stability. It lasts for 3 minutes, I guess, and then reboot. So I am back to 340 FSB now i.e 3.0Ghz which is quit stable. Any help to gain stability @ 370+ FSB?
