Im feeding my TwinMOS 2.9v right now and I can run 231fsb w/ 2-3-3-6 timings. Would doing a vdimm mod on my 8RDA+ help any? Im curious if 3v+ would get this ram going. :D Thanks.

dogman needed 3.3v to get 233.9MHz 2-2-2-5 timings.

Quoted from the last page of the review:

"I was able to reach 466Mhz with 5-2-2-2 timings at only 2.9v."

:( I can only do 221FSB with 2-2-2-5 timings and 2.9v.

I just realized that he used a NF7 to test on... that means "2.9v" is actually closer to 2.99v probably. Mine overvolted to about that. My actual vdimm is 2.89-2.91v according to USDM.

from that screen shot, it says 3.3v. maybe the 3.3v is just his 3.3v rail?

anyway, more voltage would probably help the timings.

CPUZ reads the voltages wrong. :( Thats not the vdimm.

i've never used CPU-Z actually. i just installed it and the version i've got doesn't even read the voltage.

a volt mod might help, but who knows.

I've heard it gets up to 255mhz with 3.1v. I forget who posted it but check the overclock board.

My TwinMOS BH-5 runs at anywhere between 2.9 and 3.25 depending on what I'm doing. I've had it at 3.25 (really 3.23) for as long as about 40 days during a burnin run. I need to heatsink my mosfets, SB and clock gen to make use of the headroom gained by 3+ volts, 226 is the max my kd7-e does without.

No ramsinks or spreaders, just the wash from the fan on a slk800 flowing over the sticks.

:) Im glad to hear that the vdimm mod will actually help out. Im hoping to tackle it soon as I bought the pots yesterday. :D Ill prolly run 3v at first and see how the ram likes it. ::) Thanks for the input.
