Finally got this board to bootup past 1611MHz, it took me long enough. Still not sure how I did it. Must of been the bigger hammer.:D

I will get there, but not with this mobo. One thing is it better to go for lower multi and high fsb, or low fsb and higher multi?

Boy do I know what you mean! Mine doesn't like anything over 150. I disabled the onboard sound and got to 156, but I need sound.

you want to try and optimize both, but generally higher fsb before multiplier.

Nice going there HardAss! Hopefully at the end of the year we all will get to use a bigger "Hammer" ;)

hardass and jws - have you tried different ram sticks??? I couldn't get over 152 stable or even post becuase of my ram...... a dead stick of crucial got to 166 easily before dumping on me.

Had to 145 x 12.0 = 1740MHz With Vcore at 2.0. temps climbing to high need better cooling=H2o.

What is the stepping on that chip, going 2V on air is pretty hard to, you really should go water at that high of a vcore, but a 300Mhz O/C is not a bad O/C in any way!! I only have a lousy 60Mhz, lol, waiting for a delta fan to come by...

I backed it down to 1682MHz, it runs solid there. I don,t remember the stepping. But it will be coming out to be replaced with a 2000+ soon.I agree with you to crank this one I would need H2o. Your right a 300MHz OC isn,t bad, for a novice!:toast:

The only other stick I had was a stick of Mushkin. I don't know why but I think my hard drive may be the culprit. When I go to the 333 board, I'll find out. Might be looking for another HD.

Running a AX7 with delta 68cfm. Cheiftech fulltower with 2 80mm intakes infront one is a delta 80cfm on rheostat works well. and 2 80mm exhaust. Temps are 25c/37c full load.
