Ultimately I have had a great experience with G.Skill.
You have taken care of any problems I have had rather quickly.
You have given helpful advice and answers to questions that we all have had.
Provided us with some great deals. (DDR GH, what else do I have to say?)
And you haven't attempted to use PR BS to sell an under-performing product.
and I like the fact that you have a great Chip Reference (for DDR hoping more for DDR2) So that we know what we are buying before they show up at the door. That is probably why this rig is running G.Skill

Oh well, Gskill's "DDR2 monster" [ talking 'bout the 6400-HZ :D ] yielded in good results, and the customer support dep. got better.
Now help us in pushing Asus to include tRFC/tRD/RMS in their next BIOSes for the P5W DH Deluxe motherboard, and you'll def. get another + :D

I've had a great experience with G.Skill, first with DDR1 GBHZ and now with DDR2 GBHZ. Both pairs of memory have/are serving me well and I've never had anyproblems. Thanks G.Skill!

Well cause of the fact that i from/live in Egypt we don't have the chance to buy superior h/w like for sure G.Skill's product, I was abel to kfind some friends from the US who agreed to send me the h/w me and my friends want and guess what the only ram i got was always from G.Skill DDR 2GB 18 ZX kits and 11 HZ kits here in Egypt , i know the number is soo few when compard to teh total sales in even a state in US but still G.Skill was able to build a very good rep between the resellers who saw the ram i brought, that even when i brought DDR2 ram for notebooks they bought it from me without even trying to reduce my price

Hope that soon G.Skill will find a good reseller in Egypt

I am honored to be a G.Skill product owner and to be able to spread its products in Egypt

and for sure i will be very pleased to win anything with the G.Skill brand on it

i need for my Conroe reg F2-6400CL6D-4GBMQ or F2-6400CL4D-2GBPK or F2-8000PHU2-2GBHZ ;)

I've had great products from Gskill but had kinda crappy RMA service. I RMA'd some pc4000 RAM to OPB and got back some open and tested RAM. He either opened them up and tested them or gave me some of his weak sticks. I cant say much tho as they ran at thier rated speeds. On the package he wrote what they would do, 285 at 2.5-3-3-7 max.... Now I only RMA straight to the company because of that. But either then that I still buy Gskill and havnt had a prob again.

You guys make awsome RAM for the price!

it's been said and it's true.. quality products at a great price. That's why G.Skill is so widely recommended and so widely used on these forums. For my next rig, I'm having some trouble deciding between the 6400-hz and the buffalo firestix, but either way I'll likely be buying more G.Skill in the future

Great products, great performance, great GGGGG-G.Skill!

Too bad the prices are getting high due to the ram chips. I bought a set for around $250.00 a few months ago and now they're $300.00

Great work from a company that started from the ground up.

I bought team group memory, but after seeing all the threads should have bought G-Skill, it would have saved me some cash, and I could have afforded double the capacity. Nice to see a company doing things like this.

I`ve never owned G.Skill RAM, but the results in the 600MHz Club ("http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=121680) thread can't be argued with, G.Skill make good RAM, no 2 ways about it. Even back in the DDR1 days, the PC4400LE and PC4800 sticks were the enthusiasts choice.

The more good RAM manufacturers, the better. Good competition makes for good products.

Well, I've had a great experience with G.SKILL and G.SKILL's Customer Support. I've asked G.SKILL representatives a few questions about my current G.SKILL RAM DDR2. They answered every single of my questions. I've never had any problem with my G.SKILL RAM.

Many thanks to G.SKILL for great products and great customer support!

Although I have never in fact dealt with G-Skill, they have always had some really good products. I was extremely impressed with WilliamWu's results (here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=125394) Recently I upgraded my dad's computer from a P3 800mhz with 768 ram to an Athlon 3800 with 384 ram (the only extra sticks of ram I had).

My GSKill story:
When I was building my Dothan rig I had to wait a while for some "Fancy-Scmancy" memory to arrive. A friend sent me a pair of plain jane looking GSKill PC-4800 to use in the meantime. Incredible stuff and when the fancy stuff showed up it wouldn't even come close to what the GSKill would do!:fact:

I haven't purchased a G.Skill product yet, but I'd sure be willing to try them. I've pretty much always bought Corsair, but I see no reason to pay top dollar for ram with Promos IC's when I can get Micron based products from other manufacturors for the same money. Based on that I am going to try other brands of memory and G.Skill would be one of the brands I'd consider.

I have only ever had one stick of G.Skill memory, and to tell you the truth I don't even know which one it is. I'm not the richest guy on the planet so I use whatever memory works. And I will tell you, your memory WORKS!

G.skill hmm what to say.... Well I have had nothing but good luck with them from my first set of LE's that I would never let go they were my best set on S939.. I have had a few sets since and they were nothing but great oc'ers and very reliable/consistant ... All the reports that GStech has helped 100% knowing what we as customers are getting. Made it easy to make a good choice. From their top of the line sets to the lower ones I honestly think that GS is one of the top manufacturers of memory out there. I remember just recently there was a compatibility problem with GS and a mobo but GS stepped up and fixed it in a timely manner.. Two thumbs up GS!!

This was my first experience with GSkill. I've always been a Corsair XMS fan in the past.

When I built my new C2D rig, needed to get some new DDR26400 to go with it. The Corsair was having some SPD problems with my AW9D-MAX board, so it was time to find a new brand and the G Skill had some really nice user reviews. I took a chance on the 2gb set, and ordered them.

WOW! That's all I have to say! The performance is excellent, amazing quality. Seeing GSkill Tech here on the forums answering questions is great customer service.

I'm hooked, and G Skill will definately be my brand of choice from now on.

To be honest I never heard of GSkill until I came here and saw the HZ's. And when I finally build my Core 2 setup, Gskill was my first choice. I'm glad it was the right choice because it didnt give me any compatibility issues or other problems. With that being said, it was a smooth transition from ddr to ddr2 for me, thanks to Gskill!

Previously, (in a way) I always looked up to ppl with g.skill RAM. They were always awesome clocking pieces of technology. So I got myself a kit and yep, g.skill lived up to the hype. Also, I've got a lot of help from our GS.Tech guy from just reading a lot of his threads.

G.Skill will definitely be included next time I upgrade :)

I bought one kit from a shop and was really pleased with my results, so I couldn't resist when I saw the GH deal on XS and ordered another kit.

I decided to give g.skill ram a chance and bought a few days ago the ddr2 pc5400 3-4-3-8 2gb kit (orange hs)... I was really proud to receive ram which was packed in a wood box! But after I open the box I was totally shocked -> the ram aren't protected and can jump around during shipping...
I was lucky and my ram still works :P And with the D9GMH chips it performs very good. I'm happy with the ram and will definitly buy again g.skill products, but nothing with a wood box...

Buyers remorse from another brand....was considering G.Skill and the other brand, got the other one and I've been pretty flipping mad since. Limits my FSB on my E6700 and P5B (no down dividers, and yes, they just don't clock well, grrrrr) and otherwise just makes overclocking boring unless I want to go with my old stick of D9 fatties (which means single channel).

Yeah, the other brand sucks and I should have gone with G.Skill. :hitself:

My biggest regret I bought some other brand which I am sorry to say wasn’t good.. I really want to get my hands on G.skill to give them a try and after hearing about peoples wonderful RMA experience I want them even more now.

The thing I like the most about G.skill is, even when Overclocked the memory behave very normal, stable and they love being overclocked, they just scream at you telling you to overclock them more and more now that’s true enthusiast memory in my books.

wishing you all the best in 2007 :toast:

From the 4400LE to the 6400HZ there is nothing better that I have found. In DDR1 I pretty much tried it all and nothing came close to the 4400LE.
So whether I get a couple sticks from this or end up buying more it will only be G.Skill. Got a P5W DH? If so you should only be running G.Skill. A shout out to jack who used to run the G.Skill forum. he was good people. I too have RMA'd a couple sticks of G.Skill it went smooth thankyou. G. Skill really do make enthusiast-grade memory at comparably reasonable prices; compared to other companies whom I won't name here, I think G. Skill is one of the best, from the first DDR kit of it I owned until the near future when I hope to upgrade to one of their high-end DDR2 kits. G. Skill is becoming increasingly well-known for their grade A memory and more and more popular every day, I think due to their superior quality control and binning practices. I hope they continue to grow while keeping the customer at the forefront, as this is an integral part to a successful business.

G. Skill since the early days have always meant a quality for me anyways. I built a crapload of computers for different jobs. And although forgoing actually buliding my own PC for quite sometime I always recommended and purchased G skill memory components. I've built my current computer thanks to G skill even though it has no G skill components in it. Long story short, I am part of the military and Im in a Computer operations unit. And like 2-3 of our dells were acting flaky and would get random BSODs so I tell our master chief that its probably the ram and you know what he says to me? Listen Airman you go buy as much DDR2 as you can and make sure it good and cheap our budget isn't too big. So I go grab the cheapest of the cheap G.skill DDR2 ram to replace our 60ish workstation dells and 6 months later every dell is running great without a problem(absolutely no errors in memtest). So they were ready to throw away all the old sticks i grabbed them and sold them and made enough money to purchase my new system. And you can bet when I upgrade ram (currently 512mb snatched outta a dell) it will be with 2x1gb of some quality nice overclocking G.Skill. Well my words are done here but just a word of advise. Start making ECC server ram, I have about 30 servers that need more ram and about 20 that my air base will be purchasing soon so if y'all start it up I'll definately make sure we get some G.skill :)

over a year ago i bought my first G.skill.
few bucks outside my budget there was a 2GB set of G.skill HS wich had UCCC chips.
Spend the extra few bucks to get it mostly cause of the great feedback i read on some forums.

chips ofc wouldnt go 1:1 on my 144 but didnt matter they did way better then i had hoped for letting me push em to 240/480 at stock timings.

Overhere G.skill ram is usually cheaper then the other overclocking ram but will always run on any board and will give ya what is promised and usually a good bit beyond that. So atm i prefer spending a few bucks more on ram and get some g.skill cause then ya atleast know it wont be the ram thats giving you issues.

Honestly, I haven't used G.Skill sticks before.
However, after hearing positive comments about
them throughout various forums, I have started
to follow their development in the memory world.
G.Skill seem to be offering very competitive prices,
while not sacrificing performance in the process.
And G.Skill seem to be moving up in the world as
one of enthusiast's main choice of brand.
Well, I'll need some RAM soon, with Vista and all
and I think I will give G.Skill a shot and personally
experience their quality as positively commented
by others. Hopefully you guys don't let my sky-high
expectations down

I must say, I like those 2x2GB kits G.Skill started
offering ;)
I think G.Skill was one of the first out with those
2x2GB (4GB in total) kits ;)
Great work, good progress!

Good luck on your future endeavors G.Skill! :D

BTW, great contest :D

i just sold a set of the ddr4000 2x1gb stuff to a friend and i can say its some sweet stuff.i never got to push it with a pm770 ct479 rig but hes running 550 in a amd rig.it was the most stable mem ive ever owned tbh.tried 3 dif sets(i wont mention any names) in the pm rig and they all had issues at tight timings/high fsb.the gskill never broke a sweat.

My last 3 sets of ram have been gskill, I also build alot of machines for others and use gskill often.

Gskill always seems to have the best price for performance memory.

12-31-2006, 06:06 PM
the thing I like about Gskill is the fact that Gskill will at times tell us what chips they use and which ones are great at overclocking. nothing is worst than paying good money for crap memory. my tccd and my hz's were purchased because of this forum and Gskill tech support being active here.

I'm fixin to get a build going in about a week, and G.Skill is at the top of my list. Been lurking here on XS for about 10 months, and I've heard great things about the ram and I can't beat the prices - lookin at the 2x1GB PK set.

12-31-2006, 11:27 PM
Well my first Gskill Ram was the DDR 4800 and it rocked. Now my second set is 2gig of PC4000 and it takes my Opteron 165 to 2.7ghz. Gskill is the only ram for overclocking. I sure hope I win so I can build a new C2D system with Gskill.

Happy New Year! :toast:

I never had a single problem with G-Skill MEmory´s !

My first G-Skill was HZ DDR PC4000 with DFI EXpert and DFI CFX3200
They clocked like no one before, rated 250Mhz 4-4-4-8 1T 2.6v, i used them at 270Mhz 3-4-3-6 1T 2.6v...

No problems at all.
I sell them to a freind and he have them at the same speed on AMD 64 Rig.
He tell me that those baby´s will stay with him forever .

He´s happy with G-Skill so has i.

Now i have 2GB G-Skill HZ DDR2 PC6400, and those baby´s work great at 443mhz 4-4-4-4-12 2T 1.9v :fact:

What i would like to have now is those 2x 2GB to be very happy
I can dream with that, until is release here in portugal ;)

Well, I am less an Overclocker than a Silencer. I got my G.Skill 2x512MB DDRs because a friend told me about his good experience with his G.Skills. My Computer isn't overclocked but the RAM is working great in a termally challenging enviroment, as my computer got no fan at all. In 2 years I havenīt had a single problem!
Thats why I appreciate my G.Skills. Now I am getting a DDR2 system and went straight to their webpage to see which 2GB kit to get.

So I leard about this thread.

Ciao

Kai

PS: I wouldnīt mind the 4GB either ;)

Hrm, I thought I had already replied to this.

I have had no experience with the top of the line g.skill kit, but have always had great luck with the teal heatspreader 4-4-4-12 @ pc2-6400 set. You can not find a better bargain in ram. I hope to try out the g.skill HZ when they are back in stock, or the 4 GB set. I can only imagine how great they will perform!

Well, they said:

Your post # will be your lucky number. This end at 1/1/2007.

Its open to interpretation if it means 1/1/2007 0:00am or 12:00pm. As far as my experience goes the date mentioned still counts (that means till 12:00pm @ 1/1/2007 would be fine). Would be good for me, as my account got validated quite late. Well, I guess we have to wait :)

G.Skill Tech, you really are the best. G.Skill is by far the best memory I've ever used. Not just because it OCs like crazy or because it's (at least when I bought it) super cheap, but because you guys actually care about the enthusiast community. With contests and things like this, as well as all the support you give here at the forums...G.Skill really is a fantastic company. for 500 euros, i dont think its worth it. its cl3; you might as well go for D9GKX memory, such as gskill 8000zx. are you looking to run STOCK or overclock. and post your system specs please.

Gskill HZ (d9gmh, slower, probably wont run at CL3 speed): http://www.kmelektronik.de/main_site/main.php?action=Product_Detail&ArtNr=11584&Shop=0
