I think Raybo means that cpu-z may be wrong saying that its running single channel.
If your superpi score is about the same as other 3ghz opty's then its prbably a cpu-z bug..

you can also try to enable dual channel using A64 tweaker, just to make sure whether or not it's capable of running DC.
Maybe its your ram that keeps it from running DC?

its not wrong i only have one stick of ram instaled as it wont post with this chaip with both installed i.e. in dual channel mode, yet,i can put my x2 4800 in and it will boot in an instant:confused:

My bad, I thought you could not get both cores up and running.

So both sticks of ram work and you can't get them to work when the two of them are installed? Did you try all the combinations for your slots? Does one stick of ram seem to be better than the other (might want to lower your timings and try both again)? Do ALL your slots work if you install one stick?

I'm no expert but if your 4800 works than you might have a bad mem controller on your FX or might be your bios.......can you run each core independintly of the other?

i had a problem like yours yesterday with my 165. it wouldn't run atall with both sticks of my OCZ in, well it would run untill i rebooted then the monitor would go blank and i had to reset cmos, and start over. i found out it was my ocz. i took one stick out and it ran fine. i then put the memory out of my wifes rig in and its been running with both sticks dual channel ever since with NO probs! these opty's are picky huh .. it's just to bad i have to use this crappy samsung generic :( ohwell. i dont see any performance decrease due to the higher timmings im forced to use that god.

PS: what's your stepping code ?

Relax a lot your MAL (max async latency) and your Read preamble, both mem settings.

Other thing, I know, we should not trust Cpuz vcore readings, but yours says 1.360 v , usually this optys take 1.5 v to be 100% stable at orthos....
