Hey all,
Noticed Coretemp is reading a 10c difference between core 0 and core 1 on my x2 3800 windsor, and this is at idle. The difference shrinks to 4c - 5c when running dual instances of cpuburn. Is this a compatibility problem with coretemp. Or is my ihs poorly contacting the die???

Well, it looks like it is the cpu and not the program...

is't this difference in temperature between the two cores normal, and is caused by the simple fact that the other core is working more therefore outputs more heat. so coretemp is showing acurate reading.

but i have to say that 10 degrees defference is guite a lot. mine only has 3-6 degrees of differense in idle and on load
