I have an xp 2000. The stepping is agoia y week 6. It only goes to 1.92 ghz. This is at 182x10.5. I have 2 volts on it. After folding for 5 hours the temps are at 45-46C. So I wanna oc it some more but it won't go higher. I have tried almost all the fsb's between 182-189. I have tried all volts inbetween 2-2.2. I have an epox 8k3a+. I know something is up cause I can run at 189x10=1890 all the way through 3dmarks. At 189x10.5 I can't get into windows. At 188 I can get in but can't run through 3dmarks without a lockup. Then I kept on trying but I kept locking up at different fsb's and core voltages. I know the fsb isn't the problem. Somebody please help.

have you tried all your multipliers?

why dont you try 10x multiplier..
try this 10x198 @ 2.0v if that works go for 2.0ghz 10x200 (maybe your ram is holding you back also)

What is your 5V status? And what kinds of PSU do you have?

If you overclock your AthlonXP..it's very important to have a good powersupply (PSU). If you haven't got on, then your system will be instable. It will lockup and will reboot by it self.
With motherboardmonitor you can check your 5V+ status...

my 5v rail is ok. It goes at lowest to like 4.85. That while I'm benching. I didn't know you were asking me earlier that question.

You can try another bios....

only prob is that with this board I'm using the "fastest bios." This is pretty much the sweet spot in my oc. I can run through 3dmarks at 191x10. But I think that if I could run at 188x10.5 that my scores might be a little higher. I just wanted to test it but since I can't clock that high it kinda sucks. Just seems odd that my temps are really good but I can't go any higher.

I think you just don't have a blessed AGOIA...live with it ;) Or buy another one..
Tbred 2200+ for instance..

lol, DaGooch thinks I just need to get it colder but I dunno. He apparantly ran into the same problem.

Yeah over 1900mhz you need to try and keep the XP's below 40c. I got to 1950mhz @ 1.95v's with a old 2000+ (AGOGA 50/01) but that was keeping my CPU temp below 40c (load temp, cold night lots of fans). With watercooling I got to 1980mhz @ 2.05v's....

Kain...you now got the Xp up and running stable on your KT7a? Or did you bought another board?

I agree with KAIN, your OC isn't bad at all for such "high" temps.

I think you'll need decent H²O cooling or better to get higher...

That isnt bad at all.. Wish my AYHJA 9 could even get above 1550 @ 29C load (when I wa water cooling it). It still does 1550 air cooled in the right case too tho. :)

I'm probably gonna skip over the water cooling and go phase change. But I gotta save my cash up first.
