Meanwell S-320-12 Power Supply

I was wondering what will I need to do to this meanwell psu I have bought to make it work in the UK (if anything at all ) ?

I will be using it to power a 172w pelt that I will be putting in place of the 80w that came with the Swifty MCW50-t.

I am not sure if I need to do anything to it because of the different countries home power regulations (220/110 or something of that nature, sorry I really don't know this as you can see) ;)


Anyone ?

Nothing other than set the selector to 230v and hook up a mains lead. They can be bought in the UK tho... see my sig

Well I would prob have gotten it from O-C.co.uk, but you do not have 172w 40x40 potted pelts, so as it is I would have had to pay 24$ in shipping so I got the PSU as well there..... (states that is)


That and also the fact that I would have to pay


117.49 British Pound = 188.242 US Dollar just for the PSU in the uk (add on £6 for delivery)

Whereas in the states it costs:

118 $ =£ 73 even after you add on the $24 delivery (£14)= £87

So buy from USA = cheaper even after you add in delivery charges...


Same thing happened when I purchased my Swifty MCW-50t.... I paid a lot less buying direct from the states (even after shipping charges) and had to pay nothing for customs.... maybe some price adjustments are in order at this end of the pond ;)

I tried the Meanwell 320-24 with my 24V 172W peltier.
Increadible results stock.
If only I was able to add a resistor to bring down the voltage to 15-16V (stock the lowest was 18V) it would have been great.

But it was just a loaner :(

Maybe the 320-12V is upwards adjustable to around 15V (the 24V was upwards adjustable aswell) Let us know.
Great PSU, with a 172W pelt on there, the internal fan of the PSU didn't even go on :eek: So SUPER QUIET
The meanwell 200's fan was screaming when i hooked the 172W on.

BTW where did you buy it that cheap???

I use the very same PSU for my 12V pelt and its working great for me, I think you'll be happy with it :) (btw:bought my from DD aswell)

OMG that 320-15 would be unbelievable on a 24V pelt.
13.5-18V adjustable. just ideal to find "the sweet spot" on the pelt.

To bad such a type won't be readely available :(
