I have the cd here, I put it in the drive reboot, the hard drive has been wiped clean with cleansweep 1.0, but I hit enter to boot the CD then nothing...

"please insert system disk"
won't let me do anything at all...

is there something different about installing 98SE?

I would recommend downloading a floppy boot disk from Bootdisk.com (http://bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm) for that version and booting from floppy first. That will load the cd drivers needed for the bios to recognize the cdrom.:D

That dl will be a ready made version, all you have to do is put a floppy in the drive, double click on the download, and it does the rest.

Format it with a 98 boot disk. If say, you use an ME disk to format it then try to install win98 it will give that error.
