Ok, I have a computer with no special sound card just the built in one....I have hooked up to the sound output a desktop speaker set....the desktop speaker set has a headphone jack and I have a headphone cord hooked into it. The headphone cord leaders to a 40 inch speaker I have. I have all volumes on max...the speaker volume and windows volume....is there any way I can make it louder without speding anymore then $25?

increase the voltage of either the input or the speaker to produce a louder sound.
Otherwise the only possible move is to get better speakers

So how do I up the voltage? Is there not an adapter for this?

BTW: I am talking to a really hot chick, or is that just your avatar?

His avatar. You'll need an amp to power the speaker if it's not powered, btw.

But nn_step is purty (bats eyes)... Enough kidding around.

Have you tried plugging the headphone jack directly into the back of the onboard sound?
