Any opinions/feedback? PS: I wanna reach 3.2ghz stable rock solid. Is this possible? also, any recommendations on a case sequal or cheaper than NZXT apollo which has better cooling? or should I just install my own 120mm fans.

thanks!

Looks good, can you get the x1950 there? I would change to that video card instead unless the 7900GT is significantly cheaper.

The X1950 would probably be twice the price ATLEAST of the 7900GT.

I recomend you get the 600W Silverstone PSU, it will pay off down the track.

huh? the x1950 pro is only $380.
the 7900gt is $440

they seem relatively the same in benchmarks, but I am a Nvidia fanboy! :P
and my current 6600gt XFX is really great, so I sorta wanna stick with XFX.

thanks.

I can't really stretch my budget anymore, I'm already $100 over my budget.
if I stretch for a 600W silverstone, it'll cost me another $100.

I just looked on Newegg (I know, he is in NZ but i'm just comparing) and the cheapest 7900GT is $240 US.

The X1950XT, which is a more powerful card, starts at $250 US.

here is a better question for you, what is your primary goal for the rig?
cus if it is games, I advice you to get a Cheap CPU and improve the Graphics card

Why are the prices listed so high? 7900GT is only 200 something, E6400 is only 220, not 375. You must be getting some pretty bad ripoffs.
Oh oops, i didn't notice the NZ dollars.

To bad you cann't wait for the Commando M/B it looks to be a very nice Intel 965 chipset. Its an Asus motherboard. It also has 2 8x pci-e slots.

I want to watch movies/play games/listen to music/download lots of stuff,
just typical teenager stuff ^^~ What I plan on buying, I just planned on balancing out performance/gpu/ etc.
so there isn't a 'bottleneck' or whatever. which is really letting the system down.

Thanks.
what do you think?
I mean, when it comes to gaming, I don't really play Obliviion, I'm more into WoW etc.

in which case the only things that will probably be any bottle neck for you are the:
1) Graphics card
2) Ram
and
3) the Hard Drive.
Everything else you can keep as cheap as possible and you will not notice any difference.
Settings 1280 and up, you will not even get more than 2FPS different between a Conroe and a Prescott.
So no worries

New Zealand gets raped for hardware prices.

www.pricespy.co.nz - check that for HardWare Prices.

I can see why you chose the 7900GT then, those ATI prices are nuts.

yeah, ATI card prices in NZ are f***'in crazy.

:) Another reason why I prefer Nvidia~

But shouldn't the 7900GT be able to settle quite well with most of the games?
