Dont recommend Alienware, i'll hurt you.
Dont recommend a Mac if the CPU is soldered onto a daughterboard or anything. Must be able to run WinXP or Vista.
Dont recommend anything that does not have upgradeable graphics.
The requirements it must meet:
1680x1050 or better 17"+ screen
LGA775 Core 2 Duo compatable OR AM3 (yeah, right).
Upgradeable graphics.
Decent heatsinks (known units preferred, will research unknowns)
Decent keyboard (no tiny useless keys....)
So far the only one i've found is the Sager 9890, but it is unknown if it can support core 2 duo (officially or not, doesnt matter as long as it works really). I dont really care for size or weight, i'm not scrawny and this machine is replacing all my other machines (expect my server) so it will perform everything and do so well. I will not except underperforming hardware!
The Alienware m5750 is going back for refund. Too many problems with it.
