Its one of 2 things: You either need more voltage to cpu, ram or vid card...or you are suffering a heat induced lock up..in such case you'll need to improve your cooling or reduce he ambient temperature in the room you are in.:)

Any chance that 3Dmark 2k1 SE has been corrupted? I have had this problem on a few different comps and a simple reinstall of 3Dmark has fixed the problem. One comp had both SE and original 2k1. Original ran fine while SE locked up. I always thought it was a corrupted proggie.

Great improve Hard!

Your last problem should be the Gf really.
ANY standard Geforce 3 should go to 240*480 with no problem.
What would be interested in is your voltage lines when your pc is stressed.
FI my elcheapo psu:s 5V line was under 4.90 the minuite i started it, with no oc whatsoever. Imagine what happened when i put on some oc.....The line went berserk and i adjusted the pots.
I adjusted the pot so that the 5V never goes under 4.98 no matter how much i give the pc, but, the backdraft is that the +12V shoots up in the sky even though i try to adjust that pot as well. Any increased fsb has affect on the psu-lines unfortunatley.
I dont know what kind of PSU you have but it might be worth a check.
Hold on...it even locks at no oc?
And you use that voltage on no oc?
If you do, lower the volts and try.
Im doing some burning right now with the new XMS 3000 and as you can see, i only oc the cpu by 100 mhz, but look at the +12V line as it is very high, dont know if it is too high but i suspect it.

Cheers!

I should also say that my old psu, a enermax 350 had no problems whatsoever with oc, even up to 200FSB at max settings primed. But this psu, that came with the case, an chieftec 350 doesn´t even let me over 185 fully stable.
Bluescreens after a few minuites...

That was done with card settings at 240/545.

Ok,
Better cooling on the videocard memories or a little lower memclock on it should do it.
My old gf3 did 255*515 before lockups ockured.

It does need better cooling no dought. I,ll get around to it one of these days.
