i have a kit of PC3500 EL Plat.'s Dual Channel Kit that i have always had issues running at its rates 2-3-3-8.
now, Memtest is telling me "The ram XXXXXX Does not have the ability to store data properly" then freaks out with errors.
the XXXXX is some sort of binary string. its not a memory address, maybe its a name for the stick of ram.

i pretty much already know the ram is dead and need to do an RMA, but what does that in effect mean "cant store data properly"

are the IC's just totally fubar'd ?

and this is even at 2.5-3-3-10 tighter timings are not good, bad things happen if i go tighter.

What memory voltages are you running there Bob? If i remeber right these were rated at 2.8v and maybe need 2.9v. I believe that was the Winbond stuff.

Give more volts a try and let me know.

actually it was my understanding (without pulling up the spec page of the site) they were like 2.7-2.8v

and winbond, wow i never once heard someone say they were winbond.
interesting.

i'll have to find another board to test them on and see what happens.
