Hey all,

Just read the Rage3D faq and noticed that it mentioned to increase the agp voltage to 1.7 as a possible cure for lockups.

Will this be safe to do taking into consideration that I have already vdd modded my 8rda+ ? I'm sue I read somewhere that the vdd mod has an affect on the agp voltage in some way, so I like to make sure first of all.

Thanks.

I'm going to move this over to the mod area, I feel you'll get a more educated response over there:cool:

I fried my first 9700 pro and a gf2gts from the VDD mod so im pretty sure it does something to the AGP but im not sure. Be careful. Since i did the vdd again, i have ran at 1.7 and it seemed fine.

Thanks for the reply. Can you remember what you had the vdd set at when the cards 'toasted'

Currently sitting at 1.80vdd - 200mhz . I asking since I'll need a 512mb TwinMOS stick soon and was planning on upping the vdd slightly to keep mu overclock.

It fried right when i did the mod. It was probably at like 2.4v or somthing crazy. It never got to the bios so i couldnt check. I took off the resistor and the next time i did it i used a PCI card to make sure it was at the right volts. ive had it to 1.95 and everything was fine.

I ran 2.4V into mine, It came on but locked in the BIOS, I used the pencil trick with a aid of a conductive pen, but I got to much conductive ink on it and jumped from 1.7 to 2.4V. It did not hurt the board or anything so I just cleaned it up a little and it was fine at 1.8V
