Having Brutal Problems with this board see THIS (http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=122684) for details of beginning probs, as well as the last posts of latest.
Basically though, No USB are working, and i lose sound if anything else is opened. Makes me wonder if the southbridge isnt crapping out. I need halp ASAP as i have a buncha crap to do for school finals...

yeah i was gonna post about this... as u can see by my sig its been replaced :fact: . I am now seeing if ZZF will gimme a refund even though its a bit past the 30 days. I have no need for the replacement board now if i have to go through the manufacturer.

Well, I got myself such a board, and I can only say it is as stable as it gets. So it must be some defective MB you got yourself.

yeah, it happens. The first ABit board i had, the IC7-MAX3 was DOA. Neweggs replacement was fine though. Its just curious how this one slowly died.

I had an Abit IC7 as well that the southbridge died slowly on me as well. Seems to be the luck of the draw sometimes. Oh well, Abit is still a quality company and on the rise again.

the aw9d-max and a QX6700 w/OCZ pc2-8000 ram(Gold) at the native 1066MHz speed just reboots constantly with any Bios and setting, With the same cpu and ram in an Asus P5W It's sweet stability and I can run the ram at 2:3 instead of at a mesely 1:1, The P5W using the same ram at 1:1 will go at 323MHz stable, the aw9d-max struggles at 280MHz, I sold the extra aw9d-max and when I have the replacement for the aw9d-max that I'm using now then the last aw9d-max will be sold, right now It may work good for an E4300 cpu, But for a QX6700 the bandwidth sucks.
