I have the chance of obtaining a cheap AMD XP 3000 Barton Core CPU but I have struggled to find out if it is compatible with the Abit KD7 board. Anybody help me out ?

it should but the base FSB for that board is 100/133, so u'll either need to see if u can crank that up or it'll just run slower.

Thanks for replying. Done some research and it looks as if the board is as good as fixed at the slower fsb. I`ll run it slower unless I can find a 462 board that will take it.
