bought 4 gigs of this when I put this system together, very happy with it. I got it to run C3 before but it would only boot into windows and lock up after that, but at stock voltage ive had it running DDR2 1000 4:5 on my P5b dlx only lasted long enough to do a quick everest and superpi test of it though. Im thinking about picking up 4 gigs of the Dominator 9136 and seeing how they stack up, but the memory I have runs at like a 9500 to 9600 MB/s read and like 8500 or so on write with about 43 ns latency all on latest version of everest.

EDIT: (real question) By the way I couldn't find the exact thing, but do these sticks have micron on em? I havent taken em out to look was wondering if anyone knew they run very tight timings at 400mhz fsb and very stable only info I have without taking off the heatsinks and looking at the chips themselves is that its week 29, '06 CM2X1024-6400C4 :)

Look for your memory HERE (http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44365)

If it's not listed, post your info and RAM GUY will get around to it.

Heres the info... and I dont see it in the IC listing.

CM2X1024-6400C4PRO
XMS6404 v1.3
0624164-D

DDR2 800mhz C4....

Rated DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 all I see on the IC listing for the Pro is C5 and DDR2 667

Im guessing these are Micron based? and is this whole line Micron based or if I buy more of it will I be getting Promos or something?

EDIT: posted to ramguy, Yellow/Red Beard any idea if that specific memory is all Micron? The way it overclocks definately seems that way, Id look at the IC's myself, but I think if I take off the HS's I void the warranty right?

Yeah, you'll definitely void warranty. After he has his coffee, I'll check on those ICs with RAM GUY.

Chaos, I did not forget about you but, I don't have access to the data. And, RAM GUY has been slammed busy this week. I'll pester him mercilessly on Monday.

Chaos, can you verify part number and the the lot code etc?

ChaosMinionX

yeah

heres an image of exactly what is written on my sticks

http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/productimage/20-145-038-05.jpg

CM2X1024-6400C4PRO
XMS6404 v1.3
0624164-D

theres another number along what looks like a barcode of 100331621

Thats all thats written on the side of it as you can see.

EDIT: I had the case open last night installing some stuff, and took a stick out and its the exact same info except for the barcode number which I dont think thats what your looking for.

those are micron I believe as I too have V1.3
Remember if you put more voltage (2.2V) and your benchmarks improve it's very possible they are micron, They are warranty up to 2.1V I believe. If you plan on OC'ing them I recommend using a fan. Mine respond well with cooling.

yeah thats what im thinking they run DDR2 1000mhz on 2.3v like a champ not a single problem with em, I have a dominator memory fan on them so I think its micron, ive hit ddr2 1200 2:3 bootable but not too benchable great sticks for 350$. It will load windows, but thats about it haha crashes shortly after runnin that.

Any news yellow beard? I got these paired with a dominator airflow fan now and they run DDR2 1000 like a ferrari at 2.3v :D

Sorry for the delay. After a bit of searching, it seems that your DIMMs are mislabled. That particular lot code does not correspond with your model # on those DIMMs. However, based on your performance and based on other rev 1.3 6400 variations, my best guess is Micron. RAM GUY said that we can usually track the mistake so this info has been sent to the production people to track the error. Sorry for the lack of info, I'll post any updates I get.

Huh is that so? well no matter I ordered another 2gb kit today see what I come up with, I might just get adventurous and void the ol warranty on the very first kit I got :D and check out whats under the hood. Im pretty sure its Micron too, thanks for your help yellowbeard :D

EDIT: least its not that promos crap :)

Personally I don't mind you peeking under the heatspreader but, they are attached with some pretty strong adhesive from what I hear. I'd be more worried about actual damage, ie tearing an IC off, as opposed to simply voiding the warranty. But, good luck and let us know how they perform. It may be that you have stumbled on to a hidden cache of Micron based stuff as opposed to Promos.
