Intel. Try something like a Core2Duo E6300, a good solid power supply (xclio 450w bl is a good choice), and a gig of ddr2. That should price out under 600.

he kind of needs a vga to.. from what im reading :stick:

i think he needs a vga, hdd, cpu, mb, psu, mem disk drive and case (corect me if im rong lol..)

whit a bugget of 600dollar amd would be your best option sins the are cheap atm... ;)

Depends on which games you "primarily" play.

But you can go either AMD or Intel.

You gotta decide between
Low - Intel Pentium D 805
Mid - AMD X2 3800+
High - Intel e6300

Since you have only 600 dlls to spend i will go for AMD64 3000+ to 3500+ a good asus motherboard, 1gb ram, 7600GT vcard, etc.

That should keep under or even at 600 dlls.

Intel with their Core 2 Duo are better performers atm than AMD but if you go even with the e6300 you will be short in money to finish the system, so my opinion its go amd64 single core and have fun !

Good luck.

i'm a hardcore intel fanboy, but i can't deny the Athlon X2's value. for 600 i'd probably go with a 4200+, good AM2 board, 2 80gb WD SATA's (RAIDed or seperate,) and a gig of decent DDR2 667.
