View Full Version : can use 10k pot for nf7 vdimm mod?

i know that in the guide it says to use a 1k pot, but the radioshack by my place only had a 10k 15 turn pot...

will that be ok?

yes, you will just need to turn it more

It will work but it won't boot if its to out of range.

Radio shack sells multi packs that come with 2K, thay also come with a couple unlabeled ones, I havn't tested them but thay look like thay might be 1K

You need to find out what ohm to set it at before you hook it up...with the 10k one im almost sure 9+ohm will give you 3+V..i set my 10k to 8 ohm for my VGA card mod,and that gives me a little over 1.7 V
Mod on...Thats why stores keep things in stock....

i just finished my vdimm and chipset voltage modd. That Vdimm was a **** to solder on my NF7-s v2. Set the pot for vdimm to .1000ohm and .5000ohm on the vcore- The guide which gave u soldering points should of went through this with you..Rtfm?!:D
