This release of Catalyst® introduces software CrossFire™ support for any combination of Radeon® X1900 and X1950 installed in a system running either the Windows XP or Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system.

From what ATI is saying we should be able to run any x1900 or x1950 series with software crossfire??? That means no External dongle right??? I can't get that to work so I guess I'm reading it wrong?

So far these seem to be overall exceptionally "snappy" drivers, the responsiveness in the UI and CCC seem to be improved, though it could be just me. I've got a X1900XT.

Ill stick with my Omega 6.9's, Since they don't have the BF2 problem the ATI drivers do.

I think it's referring to perhaps X1900XTX and X1950 mastercard to get CF working. That's what I got out of it...

But that doesn't make sence either... why would someone want to pair those 2 cards... then your x1950 will run at x1900xtx speeds...
