I hate uGuru, so much... so very very much... Is there any temp monitoring program available that will read a uGuru Abit board? I've tried MBM and SpeedFan, neither of them work.

Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks in advance!

I haven't used Everest in ages, has it always had temp monitoring capabilities?

Hello,

i hate the uGuru Tool too :D Does anybody know a programm that allows me to controll my fanspeeds? The Bios Options are great but i want lower fan speeds for ultra quiet operation at night. With my previous ASUS P5W DH Deluxe Speedfan worked perfect

pls help

thx tim

None of the suggested programs work for reading the CPU temp below 0*c :( It either shows 8*c all the time or 0.0*c all the time depending on the program. POS abit!

Still haven't found anything worthwhile, anyone else have anything that works properly?

Welcome to the reason why I never touch Abit products again.

There's no excuse for inventing a cute pet chip to do functionality than standard chips can do and then not document how to program it.

And yes, Abit directly refused to give out the programming information.

Not sure how these work compatability wise but are excellent products:-
Speedfan (http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php)
MBM (http://mbm.livewiredev.com/)
Preferable to everest imo they can be set to create logs which give you useful feedback on key data temps, voltages etc.,

may need a bit of effort in setting up, but worthwhile.

luck:)

Neither speedfan nor MBM works. Tried them both.
Coretemp reads only the CPU temps.

Anyway, uGuru software suxx, but the chip kicks ass, best there is, as simple as that. I can only hope all other MB manufacturers follow lead and implement something similar to FanEQ. It was the reason I got this board(aw9d-max) and I RMA-ed my P5B-Deluxe(failed to control the fans independently)

Coretemp doesn't read negative temps unfortunately :( At least not on this board.

I was considering an ABIT motherboard until I read this... without Speedfan support, it's a no go for me!

speedfan 4.32 beta 8 shows the core temps and a hdd temp and that's It, No fans adjustments, no nothin, I used to have two aw9d-max motherboards(I sold one, this motherboard is only good enough for an E4300 cpu right now), Heck I can't use My QX6700 at It's stock 1066MHz fsb speed w/PC2-8000 ram at more than 1:1, I have to use 800MHz fsb or It reboots constantly, I'm replacing one motherboard then the other with either Asus P5W DHD motherboards or an Asus P5B-E motherboards, As the aw9d-max's current bandwidth sucks in comparison to the P5W DHD with the same ram, cpu and hdd type(Raptors). And It's a bios problem that is still not fixed in 1.4A02 which I think is the latest that is in the wild.   No more Abit for Me, they were My first and they are My last too.:slapass: :slapass:

Oh and I installed uGuru, I use a Vigor Monsoon II TEC cpu cooler to keep My cpu cool 3 out 4 PCs(Not PC2 yet) and uGuru sees the 65C temps and shuts the PC off, No warning at all, I had to uninstall that crap in safe mode and then I erased the file I'd downloaded as If It were Kryptonite.:mad::mad:

Yeah, welcome to my Abit hell... I don't think I've ever been happier after swapping out that damned AW9D-MAX for this ICFX3200, it's a dream! ITE FTW!

I agree with EMERICA.. This is a great utility for monitoring dual core processors..

Just tried the Lavalys Everest 3.50 and it cracked the Abit Microguru sensor wide open.
CPU temp, both cores and MB temp also.

Hail to the Everest.
