help me get 290+ htt

I have the biostar tforce 6100 939 mobo. I hear that this is a good overclocking mobo capable of high htt but i cannot get higher than 265. I even set all the 3 htt to 3x and using a 166 divider. Can people who have this mobo tell me what is wrong? My opty 148 can do 2.8ghz so i know that the cpu is not the cause.

Do i have a dud mobo? My mobo is version 1.1 and uses the latest bios. This a huge problem because i have an opty 165 and it will need high htt for overclocking

I had the same problem at about 280 HTT on my asus board until I dropped the ram divider lower. Made my RAM run under stock speeds but it got my CPU up, then I messed with the secondary timings (I forget exactly which, TRC and something else) a little and got the RAM speed back up afterwards.
