i have a biostar Tforce 6100 s939. In the advanced chipset section, i see sb and nb htt width options. North is at 16,16 and south is 8,8. Should i leave them like this or do they have to be changed? I plan to run my 165 at 290x9

also, besides installing the dual core drivers, do i have to do anything else when switching out my opty 148 for my 165? Is a reformat needed?

Thanks for the tips. I have a huge problem now.

I cannot post at 290x9. My cpu can do 2.8ghz so i know that my cpu is not the culprit. Im using these settings except that my cpu multi is 9x. http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1028591036&postcount=113

My ram can do DDR500 so that is not the problem either. This mobo can do high htt according to many who own this board but i cannot. Is my mobo a dud? Can mobos even be duds?

Try to change NB->SB and SB<-NB to 3x
your mobo/CPU also might not like this RAM divider at such high HT speed

updated to the latest bios but still no go at 290x9. Im seeing at what point my mobo cannot post. So far im at 265x9. I will see if i can do 270

My mobo craps out at 265 htt with 166 divider. Im really dissapointed. It cant do 270 and higher. I don't get it. Tforce is suppose to be an overclocking motherboard and mine can only do 270. I seen ppl do 330+ with this mobo.
