Just did the Vmod on my Geforce4Ti4200 and like to know what the maximum safe voltage for the GPU is (before it burns). Tell me your numbers!

Welcome to Xtreme:D

Sorry I can't help you with the information you're requesting, but I figured I could at least offer up a good "welcome" and a bump:cool:

Im curious on this too as I plan to vmod the gpu on my Ti4600 someday. :D

what's the stock voltage?

Stock voltage of the Ti4200 GPU is 1,65 V (Ti4400/4600 too AFAIK).

I worked with the GF4 ultra

The max volt is about 2.00Volt the best results was 1.90 and Vapochill cooling.

Thanx for caring, Tom. I found my GPU's sweet spot myself meanwhile, it's 1,85 V w/ stock cooling.

It really depend on your cooling system. I suggest anything below 2.0V ( 1.75, 1.85V, 1.90 ).

And definetely you need to change the stock cooling system with bigger HSF. In my case, I use Intel Celeron 1.2A HSF. No volt mod yet.... I don't know how to volt mod it yet coz my GF4 Ti4200 8X has diferent board layout. Right now 300/580.

FYI: If you have problem with frames smoothness, sudden frame lock-ups, missing frames, then you can blame on heat and GPU core speed.
